WiseWire Corporation
was a company founded in 1995 by Ken Lang that delivered a unique blend of
artificial intelligence with collaborative and content-based filtering.
It was purchased by Lycos, Inc. in May of 1998 for $39.75 million dollars.
WiseWire was incorporated into various Lycos technologies and no longer has
a site on the air. (The original ".com" domain was snatched away by a domain
squatter years ago.)
